Rejection is God’s protection

Not really sure how this can help someone today...personally I have been feeling down, sad, and alone. I try not to display much emotion and at times it takes even me a while to realize it is something wrong. But I was reading and the Lord revealed the lie I was exchanging for the truth. That I was finding my value in what others thought of me, how they treated me rather than who God says I am. I believe I struggled with this for a while but it just displayed itself in varied form. I am learning when we dwell on lies we will believe them! We have to destroy them with the truth of Gods word. Only God has the right and the power to define our worth. 1 peter 2: 4 says even Jesus was "rejected by men, yet chosen by God and precious to Him". Oh to believe the latter over the former. We do not need to seek approval or affirmation from man. We are chosen by the maker of the universe and fully and completely loved and accepted by him. Christ dying on the cross was him declaring the value of our soul is greater than anything in this life.

This being the case they will still be imperfect humans that need to be shown grace upon grace the same as women.  So sistas no matter what respect and honor our brothas.  #teachmeLord
